The 3 Roles: Owner, Editor, Viewer

Understand what each role can do and how permissions work.

Owner

Full access to everything. Owners can manage billing, create and revoke API keys, invite and remove members, change roles, delete the organization, and perform all editor actions. Every organization must have at least one Owner.

Editor

Can create, edit, publish, and archive SOPs. Editors can also manage Knowledge Bases, categories, and teams. They cannot access billing, API keys, or remove other members.

Viewer

Read-only access. Viewers can browse Knowledge Bases and SOPs but cannot create or edit any content. They can only access their own profile and preferences in Settings.

How roles are assigned

When you invite a new member, you choose their role. Owners can change any member role at any time from the Users page.
